LAST WEEKEND OF OCTOBER
 

Bundi will be hosting its annual BAT (Bundi Adventure Tracks) Challenge Weekend.

Enter as an individual or team of 4 for the adventure race, spend time relaxing and RIVER RAFTING on the Breede river, participate in the 10 or 5 km FUN RUN, 15km CYCLE or 800 m SWIM.

The weekend includes all meals, party, accommodation and prizes.

BAT: R200 per team consisting of 4 members (R50 per team member). You will be required to have the same colour t-shirts. Individual entries are R70 as we will provide t-shirts and group you into a mixed team of 4. When booking please indicate clearly your shirt size on the line provided. The BAT will consist of riddles, adventure obstacles and some running (not more than 3km's in total). It will test you mentally and physically.

ACCOMMODATION: All options include accommodation in dormitories. When booking you need to indicate clearly if you want to bring your own tent, by choosing this option you will forfeit your space in the dorm. Chalet accommodation (R500 per chalet per night) must be pre-confirmed for availability as space is limited.

HIGH ROPES COURSE: There is a 120m, 12 obstacle HR course at camp. We will allocate you a time slot to do the HR course when making your booking. Normal shoes will be adequate. We provide all other required equipment and instructors.

In the mood for a fun social weekend outing?
Get to know new people with the same interests!

The BAT Challenge weekend offers you a chance to test your skills against complete strangers, challenge your friends and most of all, enjoy the outdoors! This year the weekend will also have a strong focus on social interaction and activities to open up opportunities to either meet new people or just have fun with your friends!

Join us for a social activity (OR quiz night – should we mention it already?) on Friday evening – by getting the whole group to mix & mingle, as well as for the teams to bond, we will start to build up the spirits for the rest of the weekend!!

Shortly after the weekend we are also planning to have a BAT reunion. We want to invite you in advance – it will be an opportunity to view the photo’s, give some feedback and just re-live the weekend’s social vibe for an evening!

The reunion will be held at Pzazz Pizzeria in the Tygerwaterfront.

Come and test your groups’ strength against other corporate and social groups.

The BAT (Bundi Adventure Tracks) challenge weekend offers corporates an opportunity to enter a team of 4 members. The challenge is designed to test your group’s strategy, intelligence and physical ability. This activity incorporates communication skills, strategy and planning, team productivity and moral boosting.

Join us for the BAT challenge on Saturday afternoon, the rugby as well as party in the evening. Spend a relaxing day paddling on the Breede River before departing home after lunch on Sunday.

The weekend provides the ideal opportunity to get out of the work environment and enjoy an exciting weekend socialising and interacting with colleagues.

Various prizes will be up for grabs for teams of mixed, all men and all ladies teams. The BAT will consist of riddles, adventure obstacles and some running (not more than 3km's in total). It will test you mentally and physically.

ACCOMMODATION:
All options include accommodation in dormitories. When booking you need to indicate clearly if you want to bring your own tent, by choosing this option you will forfeit your space in the dorm. Chalet accommodation (R500 per chalet per night) must be pre-confirmed for availability as space is limited.

HOW DO I ENTER?

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Required Kit List
Dancing shoes (for concrete floor), sleeping bag and pillow (standard mattresses are provided in the dormitories), Tekkies or running shoes, swimming costume and towel, hat/cap, warm top, shorts, BAT Challenge - colour coded team T-shirt, sandals/flip flops, toiletries, sunscreen, lip ice, insect repellent – peaceful sleep, headlamp/torch, camera.

Beverages & Snacks
Bring your own drinking water, ice, cooler box, drinks and snacks. Cash bar will be available.
2L bottled water for river trip – soft drinks, alcoholic beverages in cans please as we don’t allow any glass on the river.

TIP: Powered mixes are quite popular e.g. Packets of Game, Clifton. Snacks for the river are things like dried fruit, biltong, droëwors, peanuts, bars of chocolate, super C and jelly babies.

Please also bring your own drinking glass. A stainless steel or plastic glass is best.

Optional
Fishing rod, camping chairs, games, cards, frisbee, bat and ball.

An Indemnity form is to be completed on the day of registration.

CAN I ARRIVE SATURDAY MORNING ONLY?
Yes, of course! Have a look at the three different options for arrival and departure times.

WILL THERE BE A CASH BAR AVAILABLE?
Yes there will be a cash bar. You are also welcome to bring you own drinks for the weekend.
Please note we DO NOT allow any glass bottles on river. Ice will be sold for R10 a bag.

HOW YOU GET TO THE CAMP:

DIRECTIONS TO THE CAMP:
(1.5 hrs slow drive from Cape Town)

Take the N1 from Cape Town and travel through the Du Toits Kloof tunnel -> Worcester.

  1. 23.8km after the toll gate of the tunnel, turn right (R101) at the Rawsonville turnoff - after the tunnel.
  2. You'll find yourself traveling through farmlands until turning right (6km) at the Rawsonville turnoff where Goudini Spa is seen towards the left.
  3. When you reach Rawsonville (1.3km), turn right.
  4. Continue (12.2 km) until you almost reach Nekkies Holiday Resort.
  5. Turn left here, to Worcester – over a bridge. The Breede River runs beneath you.
  6. Before Worcester, take the Villiersdorp (R43) turn-off to the right (3km)
  7. Continue (12km) down this road, crossing a large bridge over the Breede River.
  8. At the 1st break in this bridge barrier, as you go over the bridge, turn left.
  9. Follow the gravel road (1.5km) till you reach – The Bundi River Rafters base camp.
