We offer different packages from 1 – 5 days.
Tailor-made trips to suit your needs are easily arranged.
Here lies the biggest difference between the various
operators on the Orange River. A 4 day rafting adventure
differs with every company and product which they
offer. Many of companies call our 3 day adventure
a 4 day tour. Be sure to ask whether you get a resupply
of ICE (Gold on the hot summer’s days) and how
many days are actually spent on river. Our 3 day tour
is THREE DAYS on river, returning to base camp on
the 3rd day, receiving supper and you can leave after
breakfast on the following day.
In the past we have returned to base camp early on
the 4th day. Then the clients had to shower and leave
after lunch. We found it way to rushed and that the
clients actually suggested that we change to our new
way of doing it.

3 Day Itinerary
Languid, carefree drifting is what this river rafting adventure
offers. For 3 days, you’ll wallow under the toasting
sun, sleep under the flawless stars, and relax under the
influence of worriless days. The only decision you’ll
have to make is which side of the boat you want to swim
from... So, for absolute self-indulgence, this one comes
highly recommended.

Arrival
Arrive at our base camp, just across the Namibian
border. Our camp manager, will be there to welcome you
with a roaring fire. You may want to take a refreshing
swim or play a game of volleyball after your day of
travelling.
We prepare supper that is served at
8pm. We start getting to know each-other around the
campfire and 9pm we give a “packing speech”.
Here we teach and show you how to pack your luggage,
liquid refreshments and personal belongings. This is
a good time to ask all those questions that has been
building about what to expect on river and what about
this???? … and what about that??? Your friendly
guide will be more than happy to put all your nerves
to rest!

Day 1
After an early breakfast, your guide will give you a safety
talk and equipment demonstration. Here they will teach and
show you how to paddle, what to do if you capsize and how
to be safe when in a rapid. Before you go onto the river
we shall fill your cooler boxes with ice. You’ll spend
most of the morning drifting and getting the hang of paddling!
Your first lunch break on the banks of the river, with the
majestic surrounding mountains will take your breath away.
We continue downstream until we find a campsite where we
can camp for the night. Sleep under the star-lit heavens
above.
Days 2 and 3...
Discover what it’s like to wake up in the desert.
Later on you may climb up to an abandoned fluorspar mine,
where you’ll be rewarded with a huge panorama of the
Richtersveldt and Orange River as it winds its way through
the desert.

Each day follows a pattern - languid drifting with
the current; hopping in for a swim when you wish;
tossing a frisbee; or just lying back and taking it
easy. We spend each night at a site of our choice
on the banks.
Day 3...
On the last day, we'll be picked up at the end point
between 2 pm and 4 pm. A drive through the semi-desert
will return us all to Base camp. After a refreshing
swim you can enjoy a few sundowners, while the guides
prepare supper. You overnight with us in the camp
and are free to leave when ready on the following
day.
